Light Up Your Winter

It's the beginning of a new month and January went by with a blink of an eye. Are you staying on track with your new years goals? We are working hard at Pacific Home Furniture to do just that. It has been cold for most of the country and the East is still digging out of Blizzard 2016 and another snow storm just came that way, {at the time of this post}. Not a great way to start off the new year unless, you love all things snow.
While all of us here at Pacific Home Furniture have a love for the warmer weather we still want to make the most of those days when we can’t get to the beach. We are thinking this is the perfect time for a small renovation in the house. We mean really small…like installing a beautiful and luxurious piece of lighting. Just one of our goals.
Lighting can change a space from drab to fabulous, instantly! The piece you choose should make a statement in the room. Make it special…don’t just replace for future buyers. So many times we remodel with future thoughts of selling the home we live in.  Live for what you love.
While we have a history of renovations under our belts changing out lighting should be left to a professional. Hiring a licensed electrician is always the safest way to get the work accomplished. Always check references and credentials before you hire them. A great detailed article by Teresa Mears via Home Advisor is full of helpful information. You will be very happy you did the checking on the electrician or contractor you want to use. Now, this is our interior designer coming out. Always wanting the best for our clients.
So, on with the lighting choices that are making our hearts beat a little faster.
This piece is perfect in your entryway, diningroom or a great room with vaulted ceilings.  Designed to showcase its dramatic angles, unencumbered lines and a rich combination of a polished nickel frame softened with taupe finished tapered wood slats.
We love this pendant lighting, it is an exclusive design by Candice Olson. Handcrafted metal, each piece is unique and no two are exactly alike.
